  • Atrial Fibrillation, a heart arrhythmia commonly referred to as AFib is a global epidemic impacting approximately 33.5-million people around the world. If left untreated, it can lead to serious complications such as stroke and heart failure.
“Atrial Fibrillation is the fastest growing heart arrhythmia problem in America and it’s a heart rhythm problem that affects patients as they age,” said Dr. Wallace. “It’s usually not life threatening, but it impairs people’s quality of life and puts them at risk of having a stroke.”

Common symptoms of AFib include heart palpitations, strong awareness of your heart beating, weakness, fatigue, chest pain and shortness of breath.
