Aquablation therapy is an innovative minimally invasive, robotic assisted surgery to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate. CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs is proud to be the first hospital in southwest Arkansas to offer this procedure.

Through the use of a high-definition camera, ultrasound and heat-free saline solution, the Aquablation procedure can remove the enlarged section of the prostate. Every prostate is unique in size and shape. Aquablation therapy is customized based on your specific prostate structure. During the procedure a light pen is used to highlight the tissue to be removed. The tissue is then hit with the pressurized water, which is extracted through the bladder. The procedure, done while the patient is under anesthesia, typically takes less than an hour and involves an overnight stay.
