LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – CHI St. Vincent, a leading regional health network serving Central and Southwest Arkansas, announces that Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive Angie Longing has been awarded the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award. The prestigious award from the DAISY Foundation honors extraordinary nurses who have devoted their life to the compassionate care of others and have significantly contributed to the nursing profession.

“There is not a more deserving nurse, leader, mentor and advocate than Angie,” CHI St. Vincent Market CEO Chad Aduddell said. “Her contributions to St. Vincent and the nursing field are unmatched, serving as an advocate for patients and families while inspiring nurses in all stages of their careers.”

The DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award goes to nurses who have had distinguished careers and promoted a positive image of the profession. Honorees must have advocated for improved patient care, served as a role model and advocate for nursing practice, and demonstrated and actively engaged in professional development for themselves and others. They must also have more than 25 years of service in the profession.

Longing has championed nursing and patient care for more than 30 years. In addition to her role as Senior Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive, she has held multiple leadership positions at CHI St. Vincent. Those roles include Executive Director for Hospital-Based Physician Practices; Executive Director of Nursing for CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, CHI St. Vincent North and CHI St. Vincent Morrilton; and Chief Nursing Officer at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton. Longing also holds a Board Certificate as a Nurse Executive.

She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Central Arkansas and a master’s in health services management from Webster University in Little Rock.
