20th Annual CHI St. Vincent Golf Classic Raises More Than $119,000 to Expand its Transfer Center to Serve Rural Patients Needing Life-Saving Care
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The 20th annual CHI St. Vincent Golf Classic, the health system’s premier annual fundraiser, raised more than $119,000 to benefit the expansion of its Transfer Center at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.
The Transfer Center at the hospital increases access to life-saving care for patients in rural communities whose complex conditions require specialized treatment. Established during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Transfer Center currently supports the intake of approximately 500 patients monthly, with more than 90 percent coming from rural health facilities. As a designated unit for patients, the center allows for CHI St. Vincent Infirmary to receive patients more rapidly and begin life-saving care sooner.
“As we work to continue the mission to enable accessible and affordable healthcare to every Arkansan, we are so grateful to those who support us at this event year after year,” said Chad Aduddell, CHI St. Vincent, market chief executive officer. “The funds raised are extremely important to our mission of serving all Arkansans, and the expansion of the Transfer Center reinforces our commitment to rural patients throughout our state.”
The tournament was organized and hosted by the CHI St. Vincent Foundation, which aims to positively impact the health and well-being of Arkansans by supporting CHI St. Vincent’s long and rich legacy of providing exceptional care that is accessible and affordable to every individual in need. Park Plaza served as the presenting sponsor of the fundraising event, which hosted 28 teams at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
