CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Certification. The two-year recertification demonstrates the healing ministry’s continuous compliance with performance standards and efforts to provide quality, compassionate care to the Southwest Arkansas patients and communities it serves. CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs is the only hospital across Central and Southwest Arkansas to achieve this advanced certification.

“This gold seal is a symbol of our hospital’s commitment to providing safe, quality care for our patients with consistently excellent outcomes,” said CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs President Dr. Douglas Ross. “Year after year, our patients know they can expect that level of care when they come through our doors and we’ve built an expert team of surgeons, nurses and other medical staff to ensure that expectation of quality is fulfilled.”

The certification by The Joint Commission is offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and focuses on everything from pre-surgical orthopedic consultations to rehabilitation activities and follow-up visits with an orthopedic surgeon. CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review during which a Joint Commission representative evaluated compliance with related certification standards.

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs has also been awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Primary Heart Attack Center Certification as well as Advanced Primary Stroke Center Certification.
