CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Earns an ‘A’ for the Second Year in 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs
CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs received an “A” grade in the spring 2022 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, making it the only hospital in Southwest Arkansas to receive the top rating from the independent national watchdog organization. The Leapfrog Group assigns grades to all general hospitals across the country and updates those grades every six months. The spring 2022 rating marks three consecutive “A” grades for CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs.

“Our exemplary healthcare providers put their hearts and souls into this healing ministry and this national distinction is a direct reflection on their work to protect patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections,” said CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs President Douglas Ross. “It is our honor to provide exceptional, compassionate care to our communities across Southwest Arkansas.”

CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs has been consistently recognized for excellence in patient care. Earlier this year, the hospital earned Primary Heart Attack Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certifications from The Joint Commission, making it the only hospital in Arkansas to be recognized in all three areas of care.  CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs also received national Magnet designation for its continued commitment to nursing excellence and has repeatedly been named one of the Best Places to Work in Arkansas by Arkansas Business and Best Companies Group.

Developed under the guidance of a national Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses up to 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,700 U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public.
