CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Named Best Hospital in Arkansas for Cardiology and Heart Surgery by U.S. News & World Report

CHI St Vincent Infirmary

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock was once again named the best hospital in Arkansas for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report in the publication’s Best Regional Hospital rankings for 2021–22. The rankings are based on an independent analysis of multiple data categories, including patient outcomes, volume of high-risk patients, patient experience, nurse staffing and advanced clinical technologies.

“Heart disease did not take a break over the last year and a half and it’s quite possibly even more important than ever before for Arkansans to know they can find high quality heart care right here in our community,” said Marcia Atkinson, president of the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute. “We’re proud to see the high quality of care provided by CHI St. Vincent recognized independently in this way by U.S. News & World Report.”

Earlier this year, both CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock and CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain  ̶  MI Registry 2021 Platinum Performance Achievement Award, the organization’s highest rating, recognizing their commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients. Cardiovascular surgeons with the CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute at the Infirmary in Little Rock also earned two distinguished three-star ratings for patient care and outcomes from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the highest quality rating that organization bestows.
