William G. Jones, MD

Dr. Jones is originally from El Dorado, Arkansas and returned to the state when he joined CHI St. Vincent in December 2018. Dr. Jones spent most of his career as an attending Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Dallas, TX. He has held multiple leadership positions including: Chief Medical Officer for Baylor Scott & White Medical Centers – Lake Pointe, Centennial, and Sunnyvale; Chief Medical Officer for Tenet Dallas Market; Managing Physician Partner Texas Regional Medical Center, and President of Texas Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates. Dr. Jones trained at University of Arkansas College of Medicine and completed his Internship and Residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Thoracic Surgical Oncology at the New York Hospital – Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
