CHI St. Vincent Celebrating 135 Years

1888 is an important year in the history of health care in Arkansas. It is the year two hospitals – St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock and St. Joseph’s Infirmary in Hot Springs – began caring for patients with two groups of Sisters at the helm and at the bedside. Along the way, our Morrilton hospital joined our ministry and in 1999 we built CHI St. Vincent North. We have a fun and diverse history and are celebrating 134 years!

“We stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us.
Climbing atop those shoulders is one thing. Striving to gain our balance once we have arrived is another.
But the perspective we experience from this vantage point, encourage us to stand tall and trustingly.”

Sister Margaret Vincent Blandford, President, Infirmary (1955-61, 1971-88)
