Awards Lauds Achievement in Social Media Friendliness

CHI St. Vincent was recognized for its engaging and informative social media presence, earning a spot on the list of the 101 Most Social Media Friendly Hospitals of 2018.

CHI St. Vincent landed at No. 49 on the list, which measured how hospitals used social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to connect with coworkers, patients and the community.

According to GraduateNursingEDU.org, which compiled the list, hospitals were ranked based on their performance and engagement across a number of social media platforms. Rankings were determined through assigning a score for effectiveness on each platform.

“Through the use of social media channels such as Facebook and YouTube, we convey important information about our services and commitment to the community,” said Chad Aduddell, CEO of CHI St. Vincent. “Through highlighting the excellent work of our clinicians and coworkers, our social media team has created a strong online presence and has been rightly recognized for its own excellent work.”

A 2018 Pew Research study determined that a majority of Americans use social media regularly. The “101 Most Social Media Friendly Hospitals” list recognizes those hospitals that make social media a reliable resource for patients and the public.
