U.S. News & World Report Names the Infirmary Best Hospital for Cardiology, Heart Surgery & Orthopedics

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary ranks first in cardiology, heart surgery and orthopedics among Arkansas hospitals according to the latest Best Regional Hospital rankings released by U.S. News & World Report. The 2020–21 Best Hospitals rankings from U.S. News & World Report was based on independent analysis of multiple data categories, including patient outcomes, volume of high-risk patients, patient experience, nurse staffing and advanced clinical technologies.

“It’s an honor to see the Infirmary as well as our doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers recognized for their dedication to providing compassionate care for Arkansans each and every day,” said CHI St. Vincent CEO Chad Aduddell. “We know that quality heart health and orthopedics are fundamental for our community members to live long, full lives and that’s why these are pillars of our healing ministry here in Arkansas.”

Overall, U.S. News & World Report ranked CHI St. Vincent Infirmary as “High Performing” in multiple categories, including: heart failure, hip replacements, knee replacements and colon cancer surgery. “High Performing” is the highest rating U.S. News awards for those types of care.

The CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute also continues to push the field of heart care forward in Arkansas by integrating advanced technologies like HeartFlow Analysis into their continuum of care, earning the gold standard in heart attack care from the American Heart Association and partnering with Pennsylvania-based Penn Medicine to accelerate heart surgery research into innovative new approaches.
