Dr. Gerry Jones Becomes Vice President for Medical Affairs

CHI St. Vincent has appointed Dr. Gerry Jones, a cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive administrative experience, as Vice President of Medical Affairs for Central Arkansas. Dr. Jones will lead day-to-day operations of medical staff at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock as well as the North and Morrilton hospitals in addition to providing transformational leadership to the organization as it continues its healing ministry.

Dr. Jones, an Arkansas native who is returning home after more than three decades of leadership in the medical field, has over 10 years of professional administrative experience in acute care facilities as well as within medical group operations. He most recently served as Chief Medical Officer at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Centers in Lake Pointe, Centennial and Sunnyvale, Texas. He previously held the same position with Tenet Healthcare in Dallas and served as Managing Physician Partner at Texas Regional Medical Center in Sunnyvale. Dr. Jones possesses significant experience with regulatory standards and creating operational efficiencies among medical staff.

An El Dorado native, Dr. Jones received a Bachelor of Science, with Distinction from Rhodes College and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. He completed residency and fellowship at Cornell University.
